Individualized Service Options (aka ISO) is a high intensity, multi-faceted program designed to serve families. The program tailors a variety of therapeutic, social and community-based services to the specific needs of a child and family, and strives to create a safe, stable, positive home environment for each child.
GOALS:
- Ensure the safety of children
- Achieve permanence within birth, adoptive, kinship, or foster families
- Keep children connected to their families, communities, schools, and social networks
The program can:
- Support families in their own homes
- Reunify a child with his or her family
- Place the child in a caring foster home
- Provide older youth with the support, education, and skills they’ll need
to transition to independence
ISO will collaborate with family and referral source to develop a treatment plan that may include:
- Individual/family counseling
- Trauma-focused community based therapy/child-parent psychotherapy
- Respite care
- Crisis intervention/stabilization
- Substance abuse assessments & treatment
- Parenting education and in-home support
- Foster home support
- Short-term placement
- Transitional (independent living) services for older adolescents
- Job readiness assistance for parents and older adolescents
- Monitoring (ensures that a child adheres to court orders re: curfew, school attendance, counseling sessions, etc.)
- Community network
