The Homeless Youth and Young Adult Youth Department provides a range of support services to meet the needs of unstably housed youth and young adults. From Street Outreach to Host Housing, our programs are focused on keeping youth and young adults safe and providing a path to stability.
Regional Access Points
Rochester Youth Drop-in Center
The Rochester Youth Drop-in Center helps young people ages 12-24 in Strafford County and east Rockingham County who are at-risk or experiencing housing instability. As a Regional Access Point (RAP), the Center consolidates access to vital systems and support services for young adults experiencing homelessness.
Concord Youth Drop-in Center
The Concord Youth Drop-in Center is a safe haven for Merrimack County youth ages 12-24 who are at-risk of experiencing or are experiencing housing instability. It also serves as a designated Regional Access Point (RAP) to connect young adults experiencing homelessness with systems and supportive services.
Manchester Youth Drop-in Center
The Manchester Youth Drop-in Center serves Manchester area young people, ages 12 through 24, who are at risk of experiencing or are experiencing housing instability. It is also a designated Regional Access Point (RAP) providing one-stop access to vital systems and supportive services for youth experiencing housing instability and homelessness.
Youth Navigator Program
Waypoint’s Youth Navigator is the “front door” for youth ages 12-24 to access immediate services when faced with a housing crisis. This means they are the first person a young person connects with.
Supportive Services
Prevention Demonstration Project
Waypoint’s prevention services are for youth ages 12-17 living with family, guardian, or caregiver and at risk of homelessness.
Teen Services Outreach Program
Outreach social workers support youth ages 12 to 18 who are unaccompanied or living on their own to resolve housing issues, get basic needs met, and learn life skills.

Street Outreach Programs
Through the Street Outreach Programs, “boots on the ground” teams canvas communities in search of runaway, homeless, and other at-risk youth, ages 12-24. They walk the streets of Manchester, Strafford County, eastern Rockingham County, and Merrimack County to help connect vulnerable youth to the services they need.
Housing Programs
Rapid Rehousing
Rapid Rehousing moves young adults, ages 18-24, from homelessness to housing. Coordinators work with local landlords to supply rental housing to eligible young adults who participate in supportive counseling and skills development to become self-sufficient tenants.
Transitional Living Program
The Transitional Living Program helps youth between the ages of 18 and 21 bridge the gap between homelessness and self-sufficient living. Youth experiencing homelessness or at risk are provided housing and support to attain education and employment goals and develop life skills.
Host Home Program
Waypoint’s Host Home Program (HHP) matches qualified youth aged 18 to 24 who are at risk of experiencing homelessness with carefully screened volunteer hosts willing to provide safe housing.
Pregnant/Parenting Transitional Living Program
The Transitional Living Parenting Program provides short-term housing and intensive support to pregnant or parenting young people, 18-21, who are homeless or at risk of experiencing homelessness.
Emergency Young Adult Shelter
Emergency Homeless Shelter
Waypoint offers an overnight emergency homeless shelter for youth between the ages of 18 and 24 in downtown Manchester.
