Waypoint’s Host Home Program is a community-based response to youth homelessness. It provides the opportunity for young adults, aged 18 to 24, to create and build goals while living in a safe and stable environment. This collaboration fosters growth in confidence and vital skills for the participant to continue their path toward success and independence.

Hosts open their home to a young person in need. They can be an existing connection or a volunteer host from the community, willing to participate in an application/screening process. All hosts receive a monthly stipend to help offset the cost of another person staying in their home.

The program can be for a few months or up to a year pending the needs of youth and the availability of the host. The Waypoint Host Home Coordinator provides ongoing support to both young adults and their hosts for the duration of the program.
