There are many ways you can help advance Waypoint’s life-saving programs and services for runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth.

Youth Resource Center (YRC) staff will accept items anytime the drop-in opens. The YRC is open on a variable schedule. Please check with us first to arrange drop-off.

1. Provide a material donation or do a drive to provide much-needed items: 

Clothing and Personal items:

  • Socks (various sizes)
  • Underwear (various sizes)
  • Sports bras/bralettes (various sizes)
  • Flip flops (various sizes)
  • Sneakers
  • Seasonally appropriate clothing, including outerwear
  • Tank tops (various sizes and styles)
  • Bathing suits (various sizes and styles)
  • Swimming trunks (various sizes)
  • Sweats (tops and bottoms)
  • Shorts (various sizes and styles)
  • T-shirts (various sizes and styles)
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Nail clippers
  • Reusable water bottles
  • Makeup
  • Books
  • Over-the-counter non-drowsy allergy medicine
  • Over-the-counter pain relief

Hygiene Products:

  • Wet Wipes
  • Chapstick
  • Deodorant/Body Spray (axe, etc.)
  • Lotion
  • Foot powder/cream
  • Shampoo
  • Pads and tampons
  • Adult diapers
  • Conditioner (for all hair types)
  • Bath towels and facecloths

Survival Items:

  • Sleeping bags
  • Sleeping pads
  • Tents
  • Travel-sized first-aid kits
  • Backpacks

  • Batteries
  • Phone chargers (solar, block, etc.)
  • Trac phones and cards
  • Nourishing snacks to-go

Gift Cards:

  • Movie theater gift cards
  • Target/Walmart gift cards
  • Gas cards (Mobil, Cumberland Farms, etc.)
  • Chipotle, McDonalds, Dunkin’ gift cards

Housing Programs:

  • Pots and pans sets, to support young people transitioning to housing
  • Dish sets, to support young people transitioning to housing
  • Silverware, to support young people transitioning to housing
  • Bed-in-a-bag (twin beds), sheets, comforters, duvets, pillows, etc.)
  • Board games (for young adults 18-25)
  • Art supplies
  • Towel sets (kitchen and bath)
  • String lights
  • Bathmats
  • Laundry detergent
  • Household cleaning supplies

4. If you are interested in volunteering, opportunities are as follows:

Cater/order take-out meal to be delivered to Waypoint: You may be able to help serve the meal. This can be a one-time opportunity or weekly/monthly.

Career Services: Assist participants with job searching, resumes, cover letters, and interviewing skills.

Internships: We can provide appropriate internship experiences for both undergraduate and graduate-level programs in a variety of human service fields on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in an internship please contact Holly Compos at ComposC@waypointnh.org

2025 SleepOut Raises $320,800 to Combat Youth Homelessness in New Hampshire

On a cold, windy, day, passionate advocates braved the cold and wind to support critical services for young people experiencing homelessness across New Hampshire.

11th Annual SleepOut 2025 On March 21

Too many young people in our state are either homeless or at risk and facing significant challenges to finding a safe home. Our goal is to end youth homelessness in New Hampshire.
