Family Preservation & Strengthening
Waypoint supports at-risk families to improve long-range family functioning and independence. Our programs help caregivers overcome challenges, build resilience and skills, and gain the tools and resources necessary to provide safe, nurturing homes for their children.
Individual Service Options (ISO)
ISO is a high-intensity, home-based program of interventions multiple times a week for complex child protection cases. Waypoint’s Permanency Therapist and Parent Coach collaborate with other treatment professionals as a unified team.
Therapeutic Counseling
Waypoint’s therapeutic counseling services help individuals 18 and older with mental health challenges. Whether you are coping with a loss, experiencing anxiety or depression, having relationship issues, or just need support to get back on track, we are here for you.
Parent Coach Program
The Parent Coach Program provides parenting coaching and support services to families referred to the program through child protective services. The program focuses on enhancing the strengths and culture of the family to better meet the developmental needs of the children.
Integrated Home Based Therapeutic Services
Waypoint’s Home Based Therapeutic Services (HBTS) helps families involved with child protection services or juvenile justice become safer and stronger. Intensive, short-term therapy supports more positive family functioning both in the home and community.
Community-Based Voluntary Services
Waypoint’s Community-Based Voluntary Services (CBVS) preserve families and prevent state intervention. We work with you to strengthen your family and keep your children safe at home in a nurturing environment where they can thrive. CBVS can help your family recognize your own strengths and find solutions to everyday problems.

Advocacy
Waypoint’s advocacy program works at the legislative level to shape laws and public policies that further the best interests of children and families. The advocacy team works closely with Waypoint’s leadership and family preservation staff to identify themes, issues, and concerns that impact the families we serve.
